Benjamin Caron joins Moxie Pictures.

by Andrew MacGregor

Accomplished television director Benjamin Caron has joined Moxie Pictures for representation.

Serial bingers will recognise much of Caron's showreel. Since making his name shooting documentaries and game shows, Caron has carved a niche for himself in television drama. Moxie’s growing TV pursuits make him a shrewd addition, too.

Tell us more about his early work. Caron found initial success with projects like The Cube and Derren Brown: The Heist. Drawn to work involving intricate shoots and high production values, he became a prime time specialist.

And now he’s switched to drama? His pedigree created numerous dramatic opportunities. Kicking off with ITV's criminally underrated Scott and Bailey, Caron has also directed episodes of Skins, Sherlock, and My Mad Fat Diary - earning plenty of BAFTA nods along the way.

He's also contributed to Netflix’s shift towards prestige drama, directing several episodes of The Crown. As well as this royal engagement, Caron looks forward to pursuing more dramatic works as a Moxie man.

Sounds like a winning formula. Both parties would agree. For Caron, TV drama is about “making it truthful and allowing actors the space and time to take risks” - just the kind of assured attitude Moxie value.
